What this test measures (and what it doesn't)
An online store with a blog has only one real reason to keep it: that the post ends in a sale. This test measures exactly that from the outside, without access to your Search Console: how many of your posts link to your catalog, and how many are commercial orphans.
It measures
- Whether your domain has a sitemap.xml and how many URLs in that sitemap look like blog posts.
- Of those (up to 20 per run), how many have at least one link to a product page or a category on your own domain.
- The orphans: posts that don't link anywhere commercial.
It doesn't measure
- SEO, traffic or rankings — none of that is visible without Search Console. That's the full diagnosis, and it isn't automatic: Lautaro puts it together by hand, capped at thirty diagnoses.
- Links to catalogs on different subdomains, or sitemap indexes that point to other sitemaps (limitations spelled out in the result).
Why it matters for a store
You can write an entire blog, rank, get visits — and not sell a single extra unit. That happens when the post leads nowhere: the reader arrives, reads, and leaves. The link to the catalog is what turns a visit into a sales opportunity. It can be measured with the URL alone, without connecting anything.
Frequently asked questions
Is it free?
Yes, and no sign-up. You paste the URL and see the result right away.
Lots of orphans come up, what do I do?
It depends on the case: sometimes it's enough to revisit the post and add a link to the right product page; other times the whole cluster needs reorganizing. Content Mood's full diagnosis prioritizes what to touch first — it isn't automatic, Lautaro does it by hand.
Does it work for any site?
The test works with any domain that has a sitemap.xml. Content Mood, the product, is for online stores in Spanish, English or Portuguese.
